Right to restrict processing
The right to restrict processing allows a data subject to request that a controller limits how it uses their personal data. Restriction may apply where: the accuracy of the data is contested; the processing is unlawful but the data subject opposes erasure; the controller no longer needs the data but the data subject requires it for legal claims; or the data subject has objected to processing pending verification of overriding grounds. While restricted, data may only be stored, not further processed.
