Right to data portability

The right to data portability allows data subjects to receive personal data they have provided to a controller in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (such as CSV or JSON), and to transmit that data to another controller where technically feasible. This right applies where processing is based on consent or contract and is carried out by automated means. It supports individuals in switching service providers without losing their data.
