Anonymisation
Anonymisation is the process of altering personal data in such a way that the data subject is no longer identifiable. Truly anonymised data falls outside the scope of the DPA 2020. However, data that can be re-identified using reasonably available means is considered pseudonymous, not anonymous, and remains subject to data protection law.
