Legal basis
Public task
Public task is a lawful basis for processing that applies when the processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller. It is primarily relied upon by public bodies. The task must have a clear basis in law; it does not apply simply because an activity happens to benefit the public.
